Nouveau Central is a retail shop that showcases local artisans, custom fabricators, and designers in Durham, NC, selling furniture & accessories and also offering interior design services. I strive to bring local unique products and services to the community and to those that believe in repurposing and refreshing older items to a new life.

Nouveau believes in providing true quality craftsmanship through creative, local artisans while remaining affordable, unique, local, and green. While marketing products to everyone, I especially take an extra step in providing the best for customers who care where and how their furniture and accessories are made.

Nouveau was established in 2015. I have a long family history in furniture repair and design. As a child, my brothers and I would help my father, Bobby, repurpose and build custom pieces for his business, "Bobby Simons Designs". I continued my education at Central Piedmont Community College in Charlotte, NC, where I studied residential interior design. My dreams of owning a  furniture and interior design firm moved me from the "Queen City" back home to the "Bull City".
